Management
Deborah Hamel – President & CEO
Debbie is a 19 year information management entrepreneur responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of TakeCharge Technologies. Ms Hamel’s proven track record of success and her focus on profitability continue to strengthen delivery of company solutions as recognized leaders in the areas of procurement card program, strategic source-to-pay, and spend process, management, integration and compliance.
Ms Hamel has been successful in growing a number of organizations including XMLSolutions, Discovery Logic, Alera Solutions, Platinum Technology, Reltech and World Wide Objects. In 1999 she co-founded XMLSolutions, and as Executive Vice President, was instrumental in securing and maintaining relationships with Fortune 2000 companies and beyond while managing operations. Vitria (NASDAQ: VITR), acquired XMLSolutions in order to extend their collaborative value chain solution. Prior to XMLSolutions, Ms Hamel was International Vice President, PLATINUM technology, where she was responsible for building, managing and delivering global information management solutions. Ms Hamel began her career at the American Automobile Association (AAA) and then ACCENTURE.
Ms Hamel has a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the KOGOD School of Business Administration and a B.S. in Psychology from AMERICAN UNIVERISTY, Washington, D.C. in addition to an Executive Certificate, Global Management from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Ms Hamel’s charitable contributions include speaking and volunteering for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurs (NFTE), Women in Technology, and Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO). She has served as a board member for NFTE and the Washington Business Journal in addition to numerous technology companies.
Greg Talbott, CPA, MBA - COO
Mr. Talbott has over 15 years of experience in the audit and software industies and he has direct responsibility for managing the strategic operations for TakeCharge. His responsibilities include strategic planning, overseeing product management, and managing the successful conception, design, engineering, development, and delivery of the TakeCharge ProCharge Solution.
Prior to TakeCharge Technologies Greg was the CEO of CashFlow Guardian, a leading provider of transaction audit software. Previously, Greg was a manager in a regional accounting and consulting firm where he managed the transaction audit and process improvement division.
Mr. Talbott holds a B.S. in Accounting from Towson State University and a M.B.A. in Technology from Loyola College.
Key Payson - Director of Sales and Business Development
Mr. Payson is responsible for developing and growing the business through high performance sales teams and strategic channel partnerships. Ken brings over 20 years of experience in the software and IT services industry including roles in enterprise sales, global account management, and channel distribution. His responsibilities include sales, marketing and channel operations for TakeCharge.
Prior to TakeCharge, Ken was a Business Development Manager for QinetiQ North America, a government systems integrator with a focus on mission-critical business systems. At the start of his career, Ken held various positions with Verity (Business Intelligence), Peregrine Systems (Asset Management), and Intersolv (IT Productivity).
Rich Bubak - Director of Development
Mr. Bubak has more than 8 years of experience with full-lifecycle system development including modeling, coding, integrating, testing, and maintaining computer software and web applications. Mr. Bubak is responsible for running TakeCharge Technologies development organization, producing top quality products for our customers in rapid development cycles. He draws on experience gained from a lead software engineering position on a large federal contract where he applied his ingenuity and creativity to implement solutions to complex tasks.
Mr. Bubak holds a MS degree in Systems Engineering of Computer Based Systems from George Mason University’s Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering. Among his interests are system architectures, enterprise integration, and process improvement.
